my life as me

Shalom.

Growing up my siblings and i didn't really have toys. I remember Dad bought us dolls one each and that was it. In the 90's my family depended on Dad's mere RM800 pay and we lived just by having the basics. So the doll, mine was one of the Seven Dwarves. It was the size of an adult's head. It was maybe the emotionless one. bisi ka??? haha whatev. I loved to comb it's beard and sometimes trimmed it in case it got messy or too long. sillyhead, i am. It was my favorite toy because it was the only one i had.

Even though it was the only toy i had, back then we didn't really need toys to play with. With my friends, we could collect leaves, sticks, old can and kulat mata babi by Dayu Ingit river, played masak-masak with them and still had the time of our lives. Sometimes we'd just climb trees and / or went into bamboo plant (cos they grow in bunch) to play police and thieves. We took a handful of sands and mixed it with clay, buried it under the ground a few days and then we made them wrestle. Owning the sand ball that managed to win these matches was our greatest pride. Sometimes we would uproot a grass (yes you ipad gen, we could play with just grass), tied it by the ends and connected them with other's tied grass. We would pull and pull it until one of the grass was torn. We'd shave rampu betu's flesh (large cucumber, the orange ones) and let them float in the river to mimic sampans. We'd go to the river and play all kinds of games that involved swimming, jumping from cliffs and making castles / dam / little fish, crab and baby shrimp pond at the riverbed. Oh, oh we caught them with our little hands and shirt you know.

These are my treasured memories. What a life... To have fun, we don't have to spend thousands of ringgit notes. If we care enough to look around; and look closely, we could discover happiness- everywhere and in every form. It's free. It's always there for us to find, and claim.

For me, Happiness is to be always grateful of what we have, even with what we don't have.

Suppose phones, gadgets, laptops, pcs and the net never have existed, could you cope?

Love,
yne.
shalom.

here we don hev season season. we tropical country liao. but.

my most favorite and missed season is the season of quietness. it's been too long since the last time i was in peace. my life is a roller coaster ride. i know everything works for our own good. but i'm just too sick of everything. really need an escape. here and now.

meh,
yne.
Shalom.

Sooooooo it's been what, half a year since Day 3? Hahahaha. In my time, peeps. In my time. Well the topic for today is writing about my closest friends. as much as i say that i don't really have friends like others, i am biggg on the idea and practicality of closest friends. So do i write about my closest friends from the days when i was born up until now or my current closest friends? Yeah let's talk about the first one cause now, i'm the loneliest stone on earth.

1. Ana (the strong one)
Full name: Diana Siew
Age: 24 going on 25 years old
First encounter: 2003, when we were Form 1
Current affair: working at my very first school, SK Nanga Dayu
Descriptions: Fair, natural wavy hair, sweet smile, looks like Agnes Monica (if you want to know)

Ana and i stayed at the same hostel for 6 and a half year during our high school (F1-F Upper 6) at SMK Meradong. She was the only girl from my hostel (Permai then, now Harmoni) that went to the same class as me (Form 1D) and also to ISCF meeting every evening. Sometimes we skipped class and prep class together cause back then, we didn't really go big on studying. In Form 6 our class was different but we were both prefects and there were not many older girls in our hostel so we sticked through thick and think. I remember us always staying all night talking to each other even though the next day we would be facing Biology exam. I remember us practicing for our MUET exam and she asked for my help since i was better in English. But little did (and does) she know that i was the who was so blessed to have her beside me during those years of growing up. She is so strong. By sharing about her life, i learnt to be strong like her. We are still in contact with each other. I hope that we can achieve our dream, that is to tour around everywhere to join Christian programs. Amen.
Ana, if you happen to read this, know that you are such an important person to me. Thanks for being my first close friends and did stuffs we did with me. And thanks for always being honest to me, for trusting me. <3

Shalom.

Back at home, i'm really a TV addict. When we were young, my sisters and i used to fight over which programme that we would watch. Sometimes Dad joined us. Haha. But here at campus i don't watch TV. Almost a year it has been and at most i've went to watch TV at my hostel's living room is twice. I need to hold the remote control when watching TV. haha. So,

1. Criminal Minds- never get bored watching whodunnit series.
2. CSI: Miami- Horatio. H. and his eyes. hahaha.
3. America's Next Top Model. for beauty tips and all. hahaha.
4. Jamie Oliver's, Masterchef, and every cooking show there is. typical food addict. hahahahaha.
5. Project Runway. for keeping up with trends.
6. Nurkasih- The only Malay series that i la-huv!
7. Classic and 1990s and 2000s' Hindi movies.
9. The Voice.
10. So Youn Think You Can Dance.
11. Documentaries. Especially about food. Sadly we don't have any History channel. Has persuaded to subscribe but to no avail. sobsss.

And the list goes on. hihi.
