A Year 2 kid got bullied into cutting his own tongue yesterday. can't
even bear to look at his picture people shared. since when do the little
ones know how to commit such heinous act? am extremely touched by this dance and the spoken poetry today. say NO to bullying!
To This Day
by Shane Koyzcan
When I was a kid I used to think that pork chops and karate chops were the same thing I thought they were both pork chops and because my grandmother thought it was cute and because they were my favourite she let me keep doing it
not really a big deal
one day before I realized fat kids are not designed to climb trees I fell out of a tree and bruised the right side of my body
I didn’t want to tell my grandmother about it because I was afraid I’d get in trouble for playing somewhere that I shouldn’t have been
a few days later the gym teacher noticed the bruise and I got sent to the principal’s office from there I was sent to another small room with a really nice lady who asked me all kinds of questions about my life at home
I saw no reason to lie as far as I was concerned life was pretty good I told her “whenever I’m sad my grandmother gives me karate chops”
this led to a full scale investigation and I was removed from the house for three days until they finally decided to ask how I got the bruises
news of this silly little story quickly spread through the school and I earned my first nickname
pork chop
to this day I hate pork chops
I’m not the only kid who grew up this way surrounded by people who used to say that rhyme about sticks and stones as if broken bones hurt more than the names we got called and we got called them all so we grew up believing no one would ever fall in love with us that we’d be lonely forever that we’d never meet someone to make us feel like the sun was something they built for us in their tool shed so broken heart strings bled the blues as we tried to empty ourselves so we would feel nothing don’t tell me that hurts less than a broken bone that an ingrown life is something surgeons can cut away that there’s no way for it to metastasize
it does
she was eight years old our first day of grade three when she got called ugly we both got moved to the back of the class so we would stop get bombarded by spit balls but the school halls were a battleground where we found ourselves outnumbered day after wretched day we used to stay inside for recess because outside was worse outside we’d have to rehearse running away or learn to stay still like statues giving no clues that we were there in grade five they taped a sign to her desk that read beware of dog
to this day despite a loving husband she doesn’t think she’s beautiful because of a birthmark that takes up a little less than half of her face kids used to say she looks like a wrong answer that someone tried to erase but couldn’t quite get the job done and they’ll never understand that she’s raising two kids whose definition of beauty begins with the word mom because they see her heart before they see her skin that she’s only ever always been amazing
he was a broken branch grafted onto a different family tree adopted but not because his parents opted for a different destiny he was three when he became a mixed drink of one part left alone and two parts tragedy started therapy in 8th grade had a personality made up of tests and pills lived like the uphills were mountains and the downhills were cliffs four fifths suicidal a tidal wave of anti depressants and an adolescence of being called popper one part because of the pills and ninety nine parts because of the cruelty he tried to kill himself in grade ten when a kid who still had his mom and dad had the audacity to tell him “get over it” as if depression is something that can be remedied by any of the contents found in a first aid kit
to this day he is a stick on TNT lit from both ends could describe to you in detail the way the sky bends in the moments before it’s about to fall and despite an army of friends who all call him an inspiration he remains a conversation piece between people who can’t understand sometimes becoming drug free has less to do with addiction and more to do with sanity
we weren’t the only kids who grew up this way to this day kids are still being called names the classics were hey stupid hey spaz seems like each school has an arsenal of names getting updated every year and if a kid breaks in a school and no one around chooses to hear do they make a sound? are they just the background noise of a soundtrack stuck on repeat when people say things like kids can be cruel? every school was a big top circus tent and the pecking order went from acrobats to lion tamers from clowns to carnies all of these were miles ahead of who we were we were freaks lobster claw boys and bearded ladies oddities juggling depression and loneliness playing solitaire spin the bottle trying to kiss the wounded parts of ourselves and heal but at night while the others slept we kept walking the tightrope it was practice and yeah some of us fell
but I want to tell them that all of this shit is just debris leftover when we finally decide to smash all the things we thought we used to be and if you can’t see anything beautiful about yourself get a better mirror look a little closer stare a little longer because there’s something inside you that made you keep trying despite everyone who told you to quit you built a cast around your broken heart and signed it yourself you signed it “they were wrong” because maybe you didn’t belong to a group or a click maybe they decided to pick you last for basketball or everything maybe you used to bring bruises and broken teeth to show and tell but never told because how can you hold your ground if everyone around you wants to bury you beneath it you have to believe that they were wrong
they have to be wrong
why else would we still be here? we grew up learning to cheer on the underdog because we see ourselves in them we stem from a root planted in the belief that we are not what we were called we are not abandoned cars stalled out and sitting empty on a highway and if in some way we are don’t worry we only got out to walk and get gas we are graduating members from the class of fuck off we made it not the faded echoes of voices crying out names will never hurt me
of course they did
but our lives will only ever always continue to be a balancing act that has less to do with pain
hey.
thattt close to suffer from seizure attack. jkjkjk. life's in fast forwardx3 mode nowadays. we're like rushing in between assignments, chaos-ing between group presentations and sprinting from classes to research and room only to calm the headache and stiffness resulted from it all.
we're forced to clear a few gigantic hurdles with a leap.
my legs are so short. hmm.
i feel the heat. burn, baby burn. hahahah.
90/10.
must shift focus from the calamity to the One who holds it all.

it's been a while. a lot happened and is going on and about to take place. no more excuses and lamentation. everything gets so real- the now and the future alike. have been pondering about the future for a bit. honestly? it's kinda scary. but God didn't let me drown in all my uncertainties. His answer is timely and definite. segala perkara dapat kutanggung di dalam Dia yang memberi kekuatan kepadaku! feeling blissful. hehehe.
all my accounts are updated. some hasn't been updated since 3 years and i was like, whaaat dear me, you were so young and foolish. hahaha.
life happens and it happens so fast. 3 years ago was before some serious series of unfortunate events rolled in my life. 3 years hv gone by now, i'm still here.
the irony of life is the more stuffs break you, the more you become unbreakable.
i am scarred for life, and after everything was said and done, only Jesus can mend me.
actually now my heart is still in pieces of scattered specks. and i will let God's timing to finally make me whole again.
i wanted to leave this blog and i'm still considering it. i hv deleted some posts, because when it doesn't mean anything anymore, why let it stay? after all when it rots, the heart is the only one who's gonna suffer. and i hv had enough writing about him.
even so, i hope what we had was not in vain at all. even if we're not together now and not going to be together ever, at least my light could shine his way, someday somehow. let God be God.
i thank Him because i hv come to terms with this failure in almost no time. when it happened i thought it's gonna take years to forget him but yeah, i guess all those 3 years all i did was preparing myself for the day he finally, finally, finally leaves for good.
he's forgiven.
and these are my last words about him.
the next chapter of my story is unfolding swiftly. it's enthralling and frightening at the same time. i love this chapter so much! this time, i really hope this stranger that i just happened to know and became friend with would stay until the end of my story.
even so, teach me to always, always surrender all of me to You, Dad. it's You who i can't live without.
pray unceasingly, remember that yne.
thanks for the ride up to this point and up ahead, Dad. keep me on my toes for Your plans for me.
amen. love You, Big Dad. <3
or my Annual Dinner WITHOUT a dress. +.+"
shalom.
Annual Dinner is a dinner held annually (figures.duh.) by my college (IPG Kampus Batu Lintang) at prestigious hotels. This year, it's gonna be held at the recently launched Imperial Hotel which adjoins Boulevard Shopping Mall.
And so, the dinner is to be held next Tuesday. i have approximately 6 days to find a dress. Last week i went to KL hoping to find THE dress but my search was to no avail. i bought a skater skirt instead, forgetting that i have sent all my nice blouses and dresses home. huarghhhh! so i tried finding a dress online and yeah, found one or two that were pleasing to my eyes. but the dinner is next week and i am sure that it can't reach my hands within this week. huarghhh!
And so, the Annual Dinner committees (JPP 2014/1015) held our meeting this evening. Allan selected me as his partner to be the emcees for the night (!). i said yes since it would be great to emcee an event. in high school, i was an emcee since i was in Form 2 and since then, i have been invited to emcee several important functions in my school and outside. studying here, i haven't gotten the chance to do so since there are so many emcees already emceeing and they are much much much much better than me. however, since this 'thang' is my passion, i have secretly wishing to emcee a function here for years.uncanny, no? sobsss. hahaha.
So, Praise the Lord for this open door! couldn't wait to break some legs on the stage! (Usually people love being on the stage for singing, dancing, and other performances but me, i love talking.)
however, i still don't have any dress, remember? i thought i'd just go to the dinner wearing some jeans and blouse but now that the situation has completely changed, what am i gonna wear???
my budget is also very tight right now.
my parents are not here to support me with extra money.
sobsss.
anyways, my roommate suggested that i go to India Street to buy one. there's this rather large store that sells dresses. so the solution now is to go there a.s.a.p. nonetheless, i'm afraid that THE dress won't be there since i've searched the entire Berjaya Times Square, KL and didn't find any.
so now i'm praying that pretty please, dear my right dress, please make your appearance once i go tomorrow or the day after and don't hide from my sight. i really need you.
hmm. another thing that's bugging my mind is my makeup and accessories. last year's Annual Dinner has proven that i should not do my own makeup. and time is running out for me to really plan my outfit for THE night.
so, these are a few countermeasure that i've come up with:
1. ask youngest sister, Mit to come and do my makeup before the function starts. - but she's far away. so, unlikely.
2. plan, buy and do everything myself.- which means disaster baybeh.
3. go to a salon at Boulevard before the function starts.- i have just enough money to feed myself. so, most unlikely.
4. ask somebody to do my makeup.- but i'm shy. (believe me. i'm actually a shy person. hahaha)
OTTOKE???????
It's so hard being a woman. i mean, a woman without her own salary. or rich background. or makeup skills. or dressing skills.
but i have God that is greater than any of my obstacles. even in this seemingly trivial-but-i-assure-you-it's-really-the-least-trivial problem.
helppp!
Shalom.
Last weekend my hockey mates and i went to KL to participate Pesta Hoki IPGM 2014 (ke-9). 3 years ago if you were to tell me that i'd be IPBL hockey team's defense player i'd say, "nahhh. nay-verrr."
honestly, winning 3rd place for the tournament was an unexpected victory! God has worked His miracles and praise Him for that!
When Bam, Ajie & Saha recounted the history of Batu Lintang Hockey Club, i was almost brought to tears. Years before, these dudes fought hard for a place for us to play and also in maintaining the existence of this club.
i tell you, semangat pemain hoki sangat lain. i'm not mocking sportsperson in other fields but cinta terhadap hoki oleh semua pemain, for me, is very exemplary. As Sarawak Hockey team's coach said " semua orang boleh main bola sepak. semua orang boleh main bola jaring. semua orang boleh main bola tampar. tapi tak semua orang boleh main hoki." sobs.
in IPBL, we play hockey at an abandoned tennis court. The seniors told us that they were they ones who took care of the court. They removed the weeds with their bare hands, fixed the torn net, and cleaned the court all over. Every Tuesday we get to practice at Stadium Hoki Negeri, thanks to Mr. Dana's generosity. going to KL, we invested our own money. BLHC players who preceded us were so kind and gave us some money to cover our budget. Thus, we could afford to buy or pretty jerseys and BLHC club t-shirt (refer picture above).
we built the team based on friendship. no selection was needed cause we didn't hv enough players. i myself were also invited by my dear roommate Mayrone about a year ++ ago since they didn't hv enough players then. basically we never had enough players. hahahahaha. we'd trained amongst ourselves. boys vs girls. sometimes some of the boys became the girls' defenders due to the reason stated before.
when we received so much support, sacrificed every cent we had, and basically put everything on the line, we went with a huge boulder on our shoulders.
we seeked to prove ourselves. and with God's grace, we did it! our success might seem trivial to others but we fought with all our strength, sweats and blood. and so, ptL He has made us fruitful.
anyways, apart from the medal, i went back with scars and bruises and injury. i'm proud of them since they are the evidences that i gave my all. (actually, it showed how i haven't really mastered the game. better effort next time, heinny).
the next day after the tournament ended, we measured KL City. limping around, my joy overpowered my pain. we played games at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park and hang out at Suria KLCC entrance.
at night, Mayrone and i moved to IPBA to join JPP fellas cause the next morning we'd have our benchmarking at IPBA. that night i couldn't sleep since my nervous system was still affected by DNA mixer that i hv played in the morning. pfft.
in the morning, we had an early senamrobik session with IPBA's JPP and sem 6 teacher trainees. it was fun!
then, we had a formal meeting with IPBA's JPP.
by the time everything ended, i was so weary. even writing this made me more weary. sobsss.
and so, the point is, i had such a great time with great ppl. it was a refreshing feeling- to be able to go out of my circle and experience the love for hockey with equally passionate friends.
oh oh ohhh. one more thing. i really think the organiser should reflect on how they planned and executed the tournament. i suggest they follow the norms of grouping teams- by vote, not schedule it according to your own logics. no matter how you try to justify and how we look at it, it was wrong.
anyways, thanks for the hospitality... peace. <3
Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.— Anonymous (The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB)
Love is always patient- regardless of time, distance, highs and lows, as well as kind of people one's dealing with. Love is always kind- everlastingly giving and never asking for favour. Love is never boastful and conceited- it's not proud of and self-satisfied in one's achievement, possession and abilities. Love is NEVER rude and selfish- It never harms. It's graceful and merciful and forgiving. It prioritises the other person. It prioritises God the most. Love does not take offense and is not resentful- Love does not seek for revenge, nor does it keep an avenge. Madly, in love, does not mean to be out of control. Love is being in control of our emotions. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sin- It seeks to build people up, not to bring people down. Love hates sin but is kind to the sinner. After all, Love has redeemed all sinners if only they believe. Love delights in the truth- Love takes pleasure in digging and living His words. There are of countless amounts of truth but love cares about and is able to distinguish the true Truth from made-up ones. Even if one is being rejected, shamed and persecuted by the world for doing so, one never holds love back. Love is always ready to excuse- regardless of how ugly situations get, it thrives. Love is always ready to trust- Love does not dwell in the past nor does it fear the future. Love is always ready to hope- That the best is yet to come. And everything works for one's good anyway. Love is always ready to endure whatever comes- Love is always faithful in small things, and also big things. Love treats both the same- with great care. Eyes, mind and heart are always ready to conquer and be victorious.
De liefde (Love) Dutch gospel song
Even though I would speak all the languages, From Chinese to Sanskrit. And I could understand everyone, But hadn't love. What else would I be? Than words in the wind. A dreamer who is lost, And cannot find his dreams anymore.
Even though I knew, All the rules and laws. And I had the faith, To move mountains. But I did not live my life with love, Why would I still exist? If the most beautiful theories, In a matter of time will fall apart.
Love, love,
This word is too big.
But love, that is life,
Even life through death.
Love, love,
Tell me the secret,
Of a God who is always love.
I want to force,
But love is patient.
And when I want to punish,
Love forgives the debt.
Even when I am egoistic,
Love will share everything.
Sometimes I kick a lot,
But love kneels down on the floor.
And soon, when everything is finished,
People had expected the least.
God will teach us the glory of the light.
In love I recognize His Face.
Break my heart for what break Yours, Lord. Teach me the way You love me. <3
shalom.
think i'm self absorbed? well, everyone is, someway somehow. :p
so,
1. i love being dependent. to Him. people say i'm very strong but i hate it that they think so.
2. i am super clumsy. always knock over stuffs even in my room. cost me loads of scars and bruises. yuck.
3. i LA-HUV eating. i don't take meals. i just eat all day long. which explains my weight and stretchmarks. yuck yuck yuck. :(
4. i was once fair. now i am dark because i play sports. i love sports but really despise my sunburnt, dark and dull skin.
5. i am secretly romantic.
6. i'd rather keep my opinion to myself than being honest. i hate the idea of hurting others.
7. i love books. i must have books or at least a book on my bed, study table, table in teacher's office, bag & going-out bag. basically i must have one at reach. Current craze are Love & Misadventure and The Cinderella Rule. been rereading them again and again cause they're very good! and cause i am broke. hahaha.
8. i am always secretly wanting to become a novelist. i wrote some half-way piece but yeah, i have issues in having the commitment to finish them. so i write here. hahaha.
9. i am very terrible in handling horror movie.
10. i adore Cristiano Ronaldo, Remy Ishak, David Archuleta, Lee Seung Gi, Brooke Fraser and Amy Lee. i do not fall into the bandwagon of becoming celebrity's die-hard-fans but i like them because they have this charming attitude and smile. and also they are very good in what they are doing.
11. i am very terrified of big dogs. i had Suri once but she died. one day i was chased by a larggge dog and thus, i'll be all panicking and sometimes crying when i see one. huh.
12. i love watching hardcore comedy like Munahhirzi and New Girl and Hot Cleveland.
13. when i feel extremely, i am capable of writing philosophical pieces. hahhahahaha!
14. i will always be socially awkward. i feel hard to fit in or belong to some group.
15. no matter what people do to me, i am always able to forgive them. i will feel very very very sad but life is for loving, is it not?
16. imma proud self-proclaimed sweet tooth.
17. imma tea person.
18. i was awarded state's best debater. this is my biggest pride so far. but don't expect me to go around acting all diva. i just am not a fighter anymore. i don't understand why people would hurt other people. does it make them feel better about themselves? i believe in loving my enemy because they play crucial roles in my life. they note us our mistakes and make us want to do and be better.
19. i was not really close with my family. my siblings and i fought all the time and my parents were very strict with me. now, i wish mom would talk with me all day & we'd bake cakes every day, i wish dad would be around more and be healthier than he is now and my siblings are my biggest supporters.
20. i love shopping for books, food and dresses.
the end.

So Much
you met people i knew.
went to places i went.
are in places i had been.
i knew you from your voice
saw you with your camera
met you in seconds
touched you in a blink
love you from afar.
listen, sweet soul.
hold me loose and hang me from uncertainty
sometimes i am strong and i swear
i could wade through the world
to get to you
but sometimes my heart is faint
without seeing the final end.

Shalom.
Growing up my siblings and i didn't really have toys. I remember Dad bought us dolls one each and that was it. In the 90's my family depended on Dad's mere RM800 pay and we lived just by having the basics. So the doll, mine was one of the Seven Dwarves. It was the size of an adult's head. It was maybe the emotionless one. bisi ka??? haha whatev. I loved to comb it's beard and sometimes trimmed it in case it got messy or too long. sillyhead, i am. It was my favorite toy because it was the only one i had.
Even though it was the only toy i had, back then we didn't really need toys to play with. With my friends, we could collect leaves, sticks, old can and kulat mata babi by Dayu Ingit river, played masak-masak with them and still had the time of our lives. Sometimes we'd just climb trees and / or went into bamboo plant (cos they grow in bunch) to play police and thieves. We took a handful of sands and mixed it with clay, buried it under the ground a few days and then we made them wrestle. Owning the sand ball that managed to win these matches was our greatest pride. Sometimes we would uproot a grass (yes you ipad gen, we could play with just grass), tied it by the ends and connected them with other's tied grass. We would pull and pull it until one of the grass was torn. We'd shave rampu betu's flesh (large cucumber, the orange ones) and let them float in the river to mimic sampans. We'd go to the river and play all kinds of games that involved swimming, jumping from cliffs and making castles / dam / little fish, crab and baby shrimp pond at the riverbed. Oh, oh we caught them with our little hands and shirt you know.
These are my treasured memories. What a life... To have fun, we don't have to spend thousands of ringgit notes. If we care enough to look around; and look closely, we could discover happiness- everywhere and in every form. It's free. It's always there for us to find, and claim.
For me, Happiness is to be always grateful of what we have, even with what we don't have.
Suppose phones, gadgets, laptops, pcs and the net never have existed, could you cope?
Love,
yne.
shalom.
here we don hev season season. we tropical country liao. but.
my most favorite and missed season is the season of quietness. it's been too long since the last time i was in peace. my life is a roller coaster ride. i know everything works for our own good. but i'm just too sick of everything. really need an escape. here and now.
meh,
yne.
Shalom. It's friggin' hot. I'm burning here. sobsss. +.+ So, what was the topic again? A book i love? i love BOOKSSS! Contrary to the popular belief, i believe a good reader / bookworm / book addict / reading nerd can't read a book in an hour. or a box of them in just a week. or like read 365 / 356 books a year. no. no it's not like that. A good reader reads so profoundly that s/he leaves no page / word / image, heck even any symbol unturned. As for me, since i have difficulties understanding deep words and complicated sentences, i would have to reread and rereread and rerereread. i take forever reading a book. sometimes what we missed at first, matters the most. wow did i just gave birth to a philosophical idea? mehh. Anyways, i had a hard time choosing which one to talk about. cause you know, there are a lottt of beautiful books out there. But without any shadow of a doubt, here it is (cue drumroll):
By The River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept
Not gonna write a review of this book cause others write it better than me. if you wanna know how the story goes, just type the title in your browser and jjang you can read all night. I'm just gonna tell you how i feel about this book and why i la-huvvv it soo much. The premise of BTRPISDAW (be-terp-iz-dou) is classic. Love that stretches through childhood and adulthood. of choices. of how deep love could be. i think Coelho did really well in telling the tale. It's like he could paint words that we feel but never could really say. How did i find this book? well i'm a fan of Coelho. My first Coelho's book was The Witch of Portobello. personally, i think BTRPISDAW is the best among his masterpieces. He is someone who is really good at what he do. And it's like we (BTRPISDAW and i) were match made in heaven. I was buried under the lowest point of my life and i read this. if you want to know what i always feel, read this book. i couldn't really write good stuff but yeah. if there's anything that could describe me, find my voice in this book. not that you care though. hahaha. What else?
How about you? Do you read? Would you tell me yours? Cause i really have ran out of good books now. expectation kills good judgement. haha. Please read this book. No matter who you are. Or what you like. Or if you don't like books or anything at all. Read this and you will be blown out for its honesty and courage. Anddd, here are some of my favorite lines in the book:
we broke up a couple of times. it was like i was being drowned and pushed upwards for oxygen and repeat. a lot. to be always wondering of the future; it's confusing and at the same time, aching. like ulcers that come and go. wow so many metaphors. k enough. next.
maybes. to go back and forth; swung by emotions. it's sad. sometimes i was strong enough to look up and go through the days without him. sometimes it was just plain sadness.
how big. and how small. how it was trivial and at the same time, very profound.
first, second, third, 30th, and last, it is love. but none is love enough like Him. <3
tales are just another definition of realities.
either way, we're doomed. or saved.
then and now.
you and me. and everything else.
“Yes, my mind was wandering. I wished I were there with someone who could bring peace to my heart someone with whom I could spend a little time without being afraid that i would lose him the next day. With that reassurance, the time would pass more slowly. We could be silent for a while because we'd know we had the rest of our lives together for conversation. I wouldn't have to worry about serious matters, about difficult decisions and hard words.”
“It's risky, falling in love." "I know that," I answered. "I've been in love before. It's like a narcotic. At first it brings the euphoria of complete surrender. The next day, you want more. You're not addicted yet, but you like the sensation, and you think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes, and forget them for three hours. "But then you get used to that person, and you begin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him for two minutes. If he's not there, you feel like an addict who can't get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you're willing to do anything for love." "What a horrible way to put it," he said.”
“Wait. This was the first lesson I had learned about love. The day drags along, you make thousands of plans, you imagine every possible conversation, you promise to change your behavior in certain ways -- and you feel more and more anxious until your loved one arrives. But by then, you don't know what to say. The hours of waiting have been transformed into tension, the tension has become fear, and the fear makes you embarrassed about showing affection.”
“That is why I write - to try to turn sadness into longing, solitude into remembrance.”
“By the River Piedra I sat down and wept. There is a legend that everything that falls into the waters of this river -- leaves, insects, the feathers of birds -- is transformed into the rocks that make the riverbed. If only I could tear out my heart and hurl it into the current, then my pain and longing would be over, and I could finally forget.”
Sometimes an uncontrollable feeling of sadness grips us, he said. We recognize that the magic moment of the day has passed and that we’ve done nothing about it. Life begins to conceal its magic and its art.
We have to listen to the child we once were, the child who still exists inside us. That child understands magic moments. We can stifle its cries, but we cannot silence its voice. The child we once were is still there. Blessed are the children, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. If we are not reborn – if we cannot learn to look at life with the innocence and the enthusiasm of childhood – it makes no sense to go on living. There are many ways to commit suicide. hose who try to kill the body violate God's law. Those who try to kill the soul also violate God's law, even though their crime is less visible to others. We have to pay attention to what the child in our heart tells us. We should not be embarrassed by this child. We must not allow this child to be scared because the child is alone and almost never heard. We must allow the child to take the reins of our lives. The child knows that each day is different from every other day.We have to allow it to feel loved again. We must please this child – even if this means that we act in ways we are not used to, in ways that may seem foolish to others.Remember that human wisdom is madness in the eyes of God. But if we listen to the child who lives in our soul, our eyes will grow bright. If we do not lose contact with that child, we will not lose contact with life.”
“All love stories are the same.”
And finally, favoritest:
“And I began to feel sorry for myself; for so many years, my drawer full of memories had held the same old stories.”
Why? Geunyang. No worries. now i'm alright.
Love,
yne.
Shalom.
Sooooooo it's been what, half a year since Day 3? Hahahaha. In my
time, peeps. In my time. Well the topic for today is writing about my closest
friends. as much as i say that i don't really have friends like
others, i am biggg on the idea and practicality of closest friends. So do i
write about my closest friends from the days when i was born up until now or my
current closest friends? Yeah let's talk about the first one cause now, i'm the loneliest stone on earth.
1. Ana (the strong one)
Full name: Diana Siew
Age: 24 going on 25 years old
First encounter: 2003, when we were Form 1
Current affair: working at my very first school, SK Nanga Dayu
Descriptions: Fair, natural wavy hair, sweet smile, looks like
Agnes Monica (if you want to know)
Ana and i stayed at the same hostel for 6 and a half year during
our high school (F1-F Upper 6) at SMK Meradong. She was the only girl from my
hostel (Permai then, now Harmoni) that went to the same class as me (Form 1D)
and also to ISCF meeting every evening. Sometimes we skipped class and prep
class together cause back then, we didn't really go big on studying. In Form 6
our class was different but we were both prefects and there were not many older
girls in our hostel so we sticked through thick and think. I remember us always
staying all night talking to each other even though the next day we would be
facing Biology exam. I remember us practicing for our MUET exam and she asked
for my help since i was better in English. But little did (and does) she know
that i was the who was so blessed to have her beside me during those years of
growing up. She is so strong. By sharing about her life, i learnt to be strong
like her. We are still in contact with each other. I hope that we can achieve
our dream, that is to tour around everywhere to join Christian programs. Amen.
Ana, if you happen to read this, know that you are such an
important person to me. Thanks for being my first close friends and did stuffs
we did with me. And thanks for always being honest to me, for trusting me.

<3,
yne.
Shalom.
saw the video of cdm25 / steering lock just now. it was heartshattering; seeing an elderly citizen bullied.
a few days ago i was enraged with God for permitting the same tragedy. the damage was worse. i yelled at Him saying, "Enti Nuan rasa ku sekuat tu, saru Nuan!"
My life is always either rock bottom or riding monstrous waves. I really have had enough. But He is forever faithful. i encountered kind people, generous people and i said "only His miracle could resolve this."
I still have to pay for my mistake. But the miracle, it sure happens. sesaat ku enda pecaya, berhari-hari utai nyelai dikereja Nuan, Apai. dini ku ka ngiga... and after hearing about MH17 early this morning, it really knocks me in the head. Kereja Tuhan, nadai sapa ulih nagang. tang Iya sigi semampai penuh pengasih enggau penyiru.
We just have to believe.
May God bless their souls, comfort their families and turn the rebels hearts to Him. amen.
"RENCANAKU BUKAN RENCANAmu."
<3,

Shalom...
Just back from Year 2. Followed mentor there. Playful and responsive kids they are, that's my first impression. But i'm not worried. All i'm concerned about is the heat! Homaiii~
Anyways, i drove to school today. U hear me? I drove all the way from the campus (in the heart of Kuching) to SK Grogo (in Bau outskirt). It's been 4 years since the last time i drove a car. Dad didn't allow me to drive one since, so i drive like i'm DUI. hahahahahaha!
Decided to rent a car for two months yesterday afternoon and after 5 years, i held the steering tighly and vroom vroom i went.
Thank God i arrived safely this morning though i did lost my way. took me 1 and 1/2 hour to get here. which is almost 3 times the normal duration.
Well, in life there are lots of first times that we're gonna experience.
First toy
First sister
First fallen tooth
First handmade piggy bank
First day at primary school
First time representing the school
First national exam result
First love
First time being a prefect
First time applying for a course in the internet using desktop in a CC
First time driving a car
First day being a teacher trainee
First roommates
First time driving a car in Kuching...
etc...
It's part and parcel of growing up. And i'm almost there. Ke tinggal, being posted as a teacher, pursue my Master degree in Leeds, being married to him who is written to be mine, have kids and etc...
Sometimes i'm really sick of being an adult. I feel like always wanting to go back in time and utilise my childhood better.
But there is a reason why God doesn't let time machines exist. Maybe we need to learn to live in the here and now. It's too hard already, what more if we want to handle our past at the same time.
So even though it's not a big deal for everyone else, i'm proud of today. I, who am a siput sedut in mastering practical things, was able to drive without causing an apocalypse. hohohoho~
And for Your protection and guidance and wisdom, thanksss, Love.
Love,
yne.
